The challenges of running a small business and making it pay are ever present. The list of tasks required to make your business grow and develop can be quite a challenge at times. The design and production of a new product is the fun bit, but don’t forget the marketing, networking, budgeting, and all of the administration too. There are some tasks that can be challenging and fun, one of which is coming up this week. I will be attending a Meet the Buyers event hosted by Northumberland Council with the support of Design Network North. The event will provide me with the opportunity to make some fantastic buyer contacts who I will introduce some new products to, along with new designs, my new website and hopefully I will be securing some new stockists. All new, new, new!!! Below is a screen grab of my website you can take a look at the finished product here www.powderbutterfly.com
Currently I am selling stock through the wonderful, brand spanking new Staiths Cafe Bar. You can take a look at my stockists page here, pop down to the cafe for something yummy and do a little bit of shopping too. Check out their social network platforms to see whats going on when, as they sometimes have live music, and I heard rumours of a film club night too.
The cafe is right on the River Tyne and the views are pretty spectacular. Here are a few images to give you a sense of the space, the Powder Butterfly bespoke Staiths products that are on sale at the cafe and the yummy cheesecakes that they sell.
The cafe is built on the fantastic estate that was designed by the amazing designer Wayne Hemingway. Its a real hidden gem and one not to be missed.
I will be sharing some of my new products on my blog with you soon, but it may also be worth you signing up to my newsletter. I will be sending this out very soon with a wonderful giveaway so it is most definitely worth signing up for our mailing list here.
Looking forward to sharing more news with you all very soon.
Signing off for now.
