The projects page of the PB Blog is for all up and coming arts related collaborations. These projects relate to my practice as an artist and link with Powder Butterfly’s agenda to create wearable artworks.
My aim with this work is to engage a wider audience in the outcomes of community arts and therefore assist in the aims and objectives of the host organisation and all other collaborative relationships within the individual project.
Shipley Art Gallery & NECA
At the moment I am working with Shipley Art Gallery and NECA (North East Counselling for Addicitions). I am carrying out a number of workshops with people that are supported by NECA. The workshops content is photographic and 2d mixed media production. The aim here is to produce a series of artworks that will be transformed into wearable art products, or fashion products that can be found on the high street.
The images below are from a range of projects that I have been involved in, with schools and youth groups. The same principle of the fusion of the photographic and 2D mixed media image have been applied here. The collaborative element between myself and the participant occurs during art production and photoshop post production.
